The Weston Bridges Warriors

A True Team Effort

Our own Weston Bridges Warriors placed 2nd in their very first season participating in Special Olympics Basketball. A true team effort from all, our players came back from a tough loss in the first game to edge out a close victory in the second round.

“They didn’t give up hope,” said Coach Blake Cline of our team. “They wanted to win. I told them, ‘You have 16 minutes left. You have nothing to lose. This is the last game of the season, so give it everything you’ve got!’ They did.”

We are proud of all their hard work, and it was a great day for our new community, as well as for all the families who made the trip to Normal, IL for the tournament. Way to go, Warriors!

What’s next for our Warriors?

Track and Field events have been decided, and practices start in April. Stay tuned…
